The Forum Magazine
Al-Anon's monthly magazine, The Forum, contains many personal stories of inspiration, some of which are made available each month on the Internet by authorization of Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc.
Al-Anon gave me back my sense of self
By Anonymous, Northern Ireland
I came to my first meeting to try to stop my husband from drinking. I knew he was a good person at heart. He just changed so much when he drank. Al-Anon members welcomed me, shared with me, and I became part of this great fellowship.
The family dynamic seemed to demand a designated drinker
By Cathy P., Pennsylvania
I understood that my family was dysfunctional even before I came to Al-Anon. I blamed my bipolar illness on the chaos of abuse, neglect, and anger I went through as a child. Now, years later, I better understand the effects of living with alcoholism.

The Forum 2010 Index
At the end of each year, The Forum publishes an index of all the articles that appeared in the magazine that year. While this helps in December, we also thought there was a way to keep readers updated more frequently.
That’s why we created the on-line Forum index. It’s updated monthly, so you’ll never miss a story!
Here are the articles we’ve published so far, some of which we’ve linked so you can access the stories. Again, we encourage you to check back monthly to see additional stories.
